Camille returns to Saint-Clément for her grandmother's estate. The village is exactly as she left it. Julien Marchand is not.

The estate lawyer informs Camille that her grandmother's land shares a boundary with Julien's honey farm — and there's a disputed easement that requires them to speak. Their first real conversation in six years happens in a lavender field with bees humming between them.

A development corporation arrives in Saint-Clément with glossy renderings and predatory smiles. The village is split. Julien is leading the resistance. Camille's finance background makes her useful — and that's the only reason he lets her help.

Camille unpacks her grandmother's house and finds a life preserved in amber: dried lavender in every drawer, a recipe box in her handwriting, photographs of Camille and Julien as teenagers. Mémé Colette arrives with cassoulet and unsolicited opinions about running away from love.

Julien grudgingly lets Camille help on the farm during harvest prep. She's terrible with bees and worse with silence. But the rhythm of the work — dawn starts, soil under nails, honey extraction in the afternoon heat — strips away six years of performance.

Saint-Clément's annual lavender festival arrives. The whole village in the square, music and wine and purple dusk. Camille and Julien end up alone on the stone bridge where he first kissed her at seventeen. They stop pretending they don't remember.

The developer plays their final card: Julien's farm faces foreclosure through a technicality in the land title. Camille can save it using her Wall Street connections — but deploying that world here means admitting she never fully left it. Julien's pride and her guilt collide.

Camille makes the call to New York. The legal threat is neutralized, but the cost is a promotion that requires her back in Manhattan by Monday. Julien finds out before she can tell him. "You're leaving again." It's not a question. The fight that follows is six years of silence finally breaking.
